Running has become a constant in my life. I’ve always enjoyed a good run, but didn’t realize how much it affects the rest of my life until I stop running. While I still have many races to go, I have a fair number under my belt. With many road races behind me (5k, 10k, 7m and half-marathons) I am gearing up to run my first Marathon! The Istanbul Marathon to be exact on November 11, 2012.
I am super excited to run my first marathon – not only is it an international race, but it also covers two continents! Amazing (:
My official training starts the week of July 9th and lasts 18 weeks. Going into training I want to have my race pace down. Aiming to be under 4 hours based off of my half-marathon times (PR is 1:51:46 – 8:32).
Follow me on my journey to 26.2miles or 42.195km (:
As of yet I have one race scheduled between now and the Marathon – hoping to up that though – questionable in Turkey though…
The Bix 7 in Davenport, Iowa on July 28, 2012 – a 7 mile road race of hills – yes hills in the Midwest (:
Eurasia Marathon in Istanbul, Turkey on November 11, 2012 – a marathon that starts you in Asia and ends you in Europe via the Bosphorus Bridge
